Cwm Taf faced spiralling agency spend and low fill rates in critical areas of supply. Increasingly high pay rates for medical staff and limited visibility of compliance documentation for agency candidates was causing serious concern.

Retinue deployed a multi-skilled on-site team to support the hospitals in regaining control. On-boarding new agencies outside of the original master vendor has dramatically improved pay rates as new candidates are introduced to the region. Implementing our proprietary technology with an e-rostering interface and a robust compliance module has reduced clinical and administration time spent on agency.

Our neutrality and agency price management modules have reduced commission and controlled residual cost to ensure savings in accordance with the CIP were achieved. Support for improved direct engagement levels has released further significant savings.

As a managed bank and permanent recruitment partnerships are rolled out, savings above the initial £1.4M released in the first six months alone are expected to exceed 30%.
