Orbit has a fantastic opening for an Accounting Technician to join their Financial accounting and control Team in Coventry. This role is a great opportunity for someone who wants to enhance and progress a career in Housing and Finance.
The Financial accounting and Control Team is an important part of the business which is a specialised branch of accounting that keeps track of a company's financial transactions. Using standardised guidelines, the transactions are recorded, summarised, and presented in a financial report or financial statement such as an income statement or a balance sheet.
As an Accounting Technician you will be responsible for a number of key duties around Property and Lettings including Liaising with solicitors, reconciling accounts, coding of invoices, and any other general administrative support that is required.
Maintaining relationships with customers is also an important part of the role, ensuring you provide on-going support and assistance and meeting their requirements.
This role is suited to someone who can demonstrate excellent organisation skills, time management skills and has a good understanding of double entry book-keeping. It is essential that you have good literacy and numeracy skills and have proven experience of Microsoft Excel.
Having the ability to work well in a team and problem solve is important. We are looking for a proactive individual who can prioritise tasks, manage work load and meet deadlines.
