Head of Major Works
Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 per annum
Location: Broadwater Farm, Tottenham
Contract: Permanent, Full Time

Homes for Haringey are looking for a leader in their field, and have an opportunity for a Head of Major Works to join the Property Services team. This role will require you to lead the delivery of the Councils Housing Capital Programme. With a project value of £40-50 million per annum, this is a crucial role within the business that requires a strong leader to develop and lead a high performing team.

Working collaboratively across the business, you will manage diverse teams of technical staff, consultants and building contractors to ensure annual objectives are met and outstanding services are delivered to residents. This role will see you take overall responsibility for the long term projects such as the Capital Programme from inception to completion.

The successful candidate will come with extensive management and social housing capital planning delivery experience, enabling them to lead a team responsible for various construction contracts. Preferably you will hold a professional qualification in project management or construction such as a RICS or RIBA. We are looking for an individual that has experience of leading teams through periods of change who is approachable, supportive and can make decisions effectively. Experience of delivering new build projects is desirable. Please find attached the role profile with full list of accountabilities.
